Procedure to start Mini Flour Business Project
The processes for grains milling can be done either manually or by machines. Despite producing at different scales, the motive is to optimize benefits, that is, to select and categorize grains suitably to maximize production and thus acquire more profits. Like this, production is guaranteed, and the performance and class of the product are produced and distributed to the final consumer.
The general flour milling process is segregated into 5 stages which are the sourcing of the raw material, grain cleaning, segregation and choice of the grain, milling, packaging, and finally transportation. The basic flour milling machinery includes raw material silo, destoner, sifter, pneumatic mill. High plan sifter, bran finisher, purifier, bagging machine, etc.
The first step is the choice of the grain-based on the properties and qualities.
Grain Cleaning: In the next stage, the grain is sent for cleaning. Here it is sent through special equipment designed to remove all dirt and impurities like sand and straw. After that, it is sent through the polishers which are responsible to avoid dust. Next, it is also sent through a vacuuming process that separates any impurities from the air.
Grain Tempering: After the cleaning is done the grain is now sent for the process called tempering, therefore, when the corn or wheat grains are ground, it is important to soften the kernels by pouring water and condition them.
Flour Milling: The process of flour milling comprises the removal of the outer layer of the grain from the inner part and obtaining the flour. To acquire a higher quantity of flour, the grinding step is followed in various segments based on the size. They are crushing, reduction and compression. It is done using a pair system of high-pressure cast steel rollers having specific properties for each weighing. The sieve responsible for segregating all the products received from the weighing of the grinding, through a set of sieves, which the product is sent through and separates based on the size of the particle, then it is passed to a security sieve. The end product will be weighed on electronic scales.
Packaging and Transportation: It is sent to hoppers for storing the finished product. The flour can be mixed with various oxidants, enzyme levellers, whiteners, or other micro-components to accomplish the end-use objective. The flour is fed to the packing hoppers or in bulk cargo. After that, it is packed in polypropylene or by use of paper bags and transported. Many aspects determine the total cost, such as capacity, labor expenses, and many others.
